What is Politics4Her?
Politics4Her is an intersectional feminist youth-led platform & global movement. Its name, Politics4her, emphasizes the importance of women understanding that politics do include her and does not need to be dominated by men, and here is a platform to take the first steps towards that.
Politics4Her has a multicultural and diverse team of about 100 young women and girls from all over the world. Our mission is to provide women the opportunity to break stereotypes, grow more informed and encourage active participation in civil society. We envision empowering women to allow their participation in leadership roles as it is a must to acquire development.
What is ConnectHer?
ConnectHer is a transformative mentorship program designed to empower and support young women in their journey toward personal and professional growth. Our program connects aspiring individuals with experienced and accomplished female mentors who serve as guides and role models, sharing their invaluable wisdom and real-life experiences.
Through ConnectHer, we curate a diverse and captivating selection of profiles belonging to highly accomplished professionals. These profiles represent a range of industries and backgrounds, ensuring that mentees are paired with mentors who can provide relevant insights and guidance tailored to their specific goals and aspirations.
By fostering these intergenerational and meaningful connections, ConnectHer aims to bridge the gap between emerging talents and established professionals. We believe that mentorship plays a vital role in helping young women build their profiles and navigate the early stages of their careers.
Our program goes beyond just pairing mentors and mentees. We facilitate an ongoing relationship that encourages open communication, regular check-ins, and the exchange of knowledge and ideas. This comprehensive approach ensures that our participants receive consistent support and guidance as they navigate various challenges and milestones.
ConnectHer is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment, where young women can gain valuable insights, expand their networks, and cultivate the skills necessary for success. Our mentors serve as advocates, empowering mentees to explore their full potential and achieve their goals.
How does the mentorship program work?
With a carefully selected group of 20 participants, our program goes beyond traditional mentorship by providing a personalized and immersive experience. Upon acceptance into the program, each participant is thoughtfully matched with a dedicated mentor who shares their expertise and insights over three months. During this transformative period, you will engage in regular 1:1 online sessions with your mentor, allowing in-depth discussions, practical exercises, and invaluable feedback and advice. Additionally, your mentor can facilitate meaningful connections within their extensive network to expand your opportunities.
At Politics4Her, we understand the importance of flexibility and customization. You and your mentor can collaboratively choose the most suitable means of communication for your online sessions, whether it be through WhatsApp video calls, Zoom, Google Meet, or any other platform that best fits your needs.
To ensure the effectiveness of the program, our dedicated team provides continuous follow-up and support. We are committed to addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise, ensuring that your mentorship journey is both enriching and impactful.
As part of our comprehensive approach, we organize monthly workshops for all mentees. These workshops serve as valuable learning opportunities, complementing the coaching sessions and allowing participants to delve deeper into various aspects of political engagement. By broadening your knowledge and perspectives beyond your mentorship sessions, you’ll gain a well-rounded understanding of the professional landscape.
After the program, mentors will submit an evaluation report, assessing the progress and growth of their mentees. Similarly, mentees will have the opportunity to submit a report detailing the valuable insights and lessons learned throughout the program, documenting their personal development.
